Golden Hornet's String Quartet Smackdown is a bracketed, NCAA basketball tournament style competition which brings original string quartet compositions head-to-dead in front of a live, participatory audience.
This album is comprised of the sixteen quartets that were selected as finalists for the fifth annual concert, held in February 2019.
